PLEASE READ THE UPDATE BELOW
Many users have reported that Getbhavcopy 2.1.6a is not working/not starting/being reported as a virus. If you are faciing this issue then I assure you that there is no virus in Getbhavcopy. Version 2.1.6a was compiled on a brand new machine where Visual Studio C# 2010 is the the fist thing I installed - to get Getbhavcopy running for the community.

In case Getbhavcopy does not start (or fails to load) after 31 December 2013 then follow the below steps
Download the file http://www.getbhavcopy.com/Getbhavcopy.dbfReplace the current Getbhavcopy.dbf file in your Getbhavcopy folder with the one you downloaded.Restart Getbhavcopy. It should work this time.

Many people keep reporting in the blog comments section that they are unable to download data or are facing a problem. Ideally when I get across such a problem being reported by multiple people i try to test it out myself, but I am seldom able to reproduce the issue.
Since Getbhavcopy gets exposed to multiple different systems/combinations I cannot test why something is not working in your machine. I can still try to help you out, but first you need to help yourself and the...

While most of you would be using Getbhavcopy as a daily stock market data downloader, it is a powerful historical stock data downloader too. There would be many users who would like to download bulk data i.e. about 3 to 6 months of historical stock data at one time and want to import it into your technical analysis software.
